KINDNESS MATTERS
Since 1987, the Lions Club of Gordon’s Bay serves the unique needs of the communities in the Helderberg area of South Africa. We believe kindness matters and by working together, we can achieve bigger goals. All donations from our community are used for service projects in our community, for those who need our help!
We are part of Lions Clubs International, where over 1.4 million Lions are changing the world, one community at a time.

OUR STORY
The Lions Club is focused on these five Global Causes:
VISION TESTING
We aid people who are visually impaired by conducting vision tests and supplying them with spectacles from Lions Brightside. We distribute used and second hand spectacles. Should you wish to donate old eye glasses please deliver them to our clubhouse at our monthly meeting or simply reach out to us via our contact page.
DIABETES TESTING
As part of caring for the community in Gordon’s Bay, we offer free preventative diabetes testing so as to help reduce diabetes. Please visit us at our table at the local Gordon’s Bay Spar at Mountain View Shopping Centre. To test your sugar level can be life-saving so please do not hesitate to reach out to us should you want to be tested for diabetes.
CHILDHOOD CANCER
The Lions Club in Gordon’s Bay supports children and their families affected by cancer. We supply goody bags and toiletry items for their stay in hospital. Should you want to donate and support this cause get in touch with us. Your donation, no matter how small, does make a difference.
HUNGER
We support feeding kitchens by supplying the necessary ingredients to cook a healthy and nutritious meal for children and the elderly. Should you wish to donate food and support this cause, get in touch with our team. Our latest project is our very own Veggie Garden! We need baby plants, seeds and compost. Please get in touch if you would like to help or contribute in any way.
CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Lions Club in Gordons Bay is passionate about conserving the environment for the future of our community. We support the education of the local community in terms of understanding the value and implementation of humane treatment of our animals. To help conserve our environment and natural heritage we are involved in cleaning up of our local, beautiful beaches and other local projects. We proudly support the local Fire Brigade.
